The newest Firefox has arrived!
Mozilla released the newest version of the Firefox browser, the Firefox 4. It’s said to be faster than the latest Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 9. So what’s new in Firefox 4?
1. Faster
With a new JavaScript engine, Firefox 4 delivers performance improvements. Firefox 4 is even reported to have bested Chrome 10, Opera 11.1 and Internet Explorer 9 in browser benchmarks.
2. Tabs on Top
The browser is now cleaner. Just like Chrome, tabs are on top now.
3. Sync
Just like Chrome, you can now sync settings and bookmarks across platforms among multiple copies of Firefox.
4. Improved Security
With HTTP Strict Transport Security, or HSTS, sites can now make sure information is always encrypted. This helps in preventing attackers from intercepting sensitive data.
5. HTML5
Firefox 4 supports HTML5. It is capable of supporting the latest Web environments.
6. Multitouch Support
Firefox now integrates multi-touch support for Windows 7.
7. Better Memory Management
Firefox uses “Compartments” which is expected to result in lesser crashes and lesser RAM usage
