How to Download and Install Google+ App for Android

Google+ is growing fast.  As more people get into this new social networking platform, the clamor for a mobile app is increasing.  The Google+ app for iPhone is already in the hands of Apple for approval.  The mobile app for Android, on the other hand, is already available on a limited scale.  Currently, it appears that only Android users from the US can download the mobile app but don’t fret. There is a solution.

Redmondpie has an APK file for the mobile app courtesy of one XDA-Developers member which you can download and install on your Android device.  Here are the steps.

    1. Make sure you already have a Google+ account.
    2. From your home screen press the menu button, go to Settings > Applications and check the “Unknown Sources” box.
    3. Go to this site and look for the download link.
    4. Download the APK file and install.

That’s it. Enjoy Google+ on your Android device.  And don’t forget to share with us your impressions.
