The long wait is over.  The Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet is scheduled for launch on July 23, 2011 and will be initially available in SM North EDSA, SM Mall of Asia, Gilmore Platinum, and SM Fairview.   The Eee Pad Transformer (tablet only) will go for Php22,995.  If you are opting for the tablet and dock configuration, it will set you back Php29,995.

The Eee Pad Transformer is a 10-inch Android 3.1 tablet powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor.  What makes this tablet unique and really attractive is the option to get the keyboard-dock that perfectly complements the device.  Snap the dock on and the device is transformed into a laptop.

    I don’t quite see the relevance of this offering with the keyboard. Just the tablet, yes. But with the hardware keyboard? If it were running Windows 7, maybe – that allows use of real word processing software, and other real PC software.
