Google search is about to get better on your tablet. The company just announced that it has improved the www.google.com search experience on tablets as part of its effort to evolve the Google design and experience.
Layout of search results pages has been simplified, the size of page contents has been increased to make it faster and easier to browse and interact with search results in portrait or landscape view.
There’s a search button below the search box that allows quick access to specific types of results like Images, Videos, Places, Shopping, and what have you. You just need to tap to open the search menu. You will then see an option to see results in one category.
With respect to image results, Google has enhanced the viewing experience. It enlarged image previews, implemented continuous scroll, and made loading of image thumbnails faster.
The improved search is rolling out to iPad and Android Honeycomb tablets in the coming days. Or try it out on your tablet’s browser, maybe its already there.
