Samsung to Make Google Nexus Prime With Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich?

If the title is a mouthful, blame it on Google which named the next Android update the Ice Cream Sandwich.  Rumors are now getting stronger that Samsung will be making the next Google phone which will be carrying the name “Nexus Prime”.  The super phone will be the first to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is said to pack a 4.5-inch screen with 720p resolution.

Not impressed yet?  It is also rumored that the Nexus Prime will run on a super fast 1.5GHz dual-core processor and a PowerVR SGX540 GPU running at a higher clock speed.  To make things more exciting, the handset will sport the new generation SuperAMOLED display.   The launch is said to be in October.

Samsung is set to unveil a new handset at the Berlin Unpacked event, and it is possible that it will unveil the Nexus Prime.

If it’s not the Nexus Prime, it is most likely a Samsung version of the same handset, possibly the I9250 handset rumored to carry a 4.65-inch screen with 720p resolution.  Here is Samsung’s teaser for the Berlin Unpacked event where a successor to the 7-inch Galaxy Tab could also be unveiled.
