Nokia Unveils the 100 and 101 Ultra-Cheap Phones

 

After the launch of the Nokia 600, 700 and 701 Symbian Belle handsets, the Finnish company just unveiled two new handset.  Unlike the feature-rich Symbian Belle handsets, the new Nokia 100 and 101 handsets belong to the ultra-budget class.

The Nokia 101 and 100 run on Series 30 operating system. They are identical in all respects except the Nokia 101 is dual-SIM and has an MP3 player.  They can support up to five separate address books and store personalization details for up to five different SIM cards, ideal for those who want to share the phone.  The phone has an integrated flashlight and come with an FM radio. The Nokia 101 supports memory cards up to 16GB.  Battery life on these phones is expected to last up to 25 days on standby or 6.7 hours talktime.

The Nokia 101 and 100 will be available starting this quarter.  The Nokia 100 is priced at €20 (P1,230) while the Nokia 101 is priced at €25 (P1,530).

  1. Nokia 101 — both sims are active, but of course you can’t receive calls from both sims at the same time. Music in headset and loudspeaker is awesome. Very handy.
