HTC Radar: Windows Mango 7.5, 3.7-inch Screen, 1GHz CPU

 

A few days ago, HTC announced the HTC Titan, the Taiwanese company’s flagship phone.  The company next announced the HTC Radar, a cheaper handset with slightly lower specs.  The HTC Radar is a Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphone sporting a 3.7-inch with 480×800 resolution.  The HTC Radar is powered by a 1GHz CPU and 512MB of memory. It comes with 8GB internal storage.

The HTC radar features a 5 megapixel camera with F2.2 lens, LED flash, BSI sensor and 720p HD video recording and a VGA front camera.  It also has bluetooth, GPS capability and WiFi connectivity.  Just like its bigger brother, the HTC Radar boasts of SRS enhancement and 5.1 surround sound for video. It also sports a G-sensor, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. The HTC Radar supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band HSPA/WCDMA networks.

    • If I may make a guess, it’s because the windows phone platform is not popular. Microsoft even admitted it did not meet its expectations in terms of sales and adoption of the platform.  So for smart or any network to support windows at this point could be a losing endeavor. 

      • Among other things, of course. My impression of the Smart – HTC relationship is that it’s been shaky, at best, especially since Smart promised thousands of units of sales for HTC’s Chacha which did NOT happen.
