Smart Sun Dual Plan 549 Launched

To all mobile phone users looking for bargain packages, you might want to check this promo out.

Smart Communications and Sun Cellular just came up with a phone and plan package called the Smart Sun Dual Plan 549.  We all know that PLDT, owner of Smart Communications, recently bought the majority stake on Digitel, owner of Sun Cellular.  This is what makes deals like Smart Sun Dual Plan 549 possible.  I think it’s safe to assume that other deals like this will be offered in the future.

For now, we have the Smart Sun Dual Plan 549 which offers users dual access.  So you get to use the plan on both networks, which now have a combined user base of 65 million.  For only P549 a month, you can have the convenience of being on Smart and Sun Cellular and networks and send unlimited texts.  The Smart Sun Dual Plan 549 comes with a free dual-SIM Nokia C2-03 phone so this looks like a good deal.

I still don’t know exactly how this package specifically works.  The poster shows two plans, i.e., Plan 349 on Smart and Plan 200 on Sun Cellular.  The first plan offers unlimited texts and 2 hours of calls to Smart users, and the second plan offers unlimited texts and 4 hours of calls to Sun Cellular users.  So based on the poster, I believe the package offers two separate plans in one single offering, one being Plan 349 on Smart, and the other being Plan 200 on Sun Cellular.  So for a total of P549 a month, you’ll get practically two plans on two networks, and get to use them simultaneously using the free dual-SIM Nokia C2-03 phone.

The Smart Sun Dual Plan 549 is a special promo, and appears to be available only during the Christmas holidays, so you might want to immediately check this one out at Sun Cellular and Smart shops.

The Nokia c2-03 handset has a suggested retail price of P4,490.  For specs and features, go here or check out the intro video below.

  1. I am a Smart Gold subscriber and I wouldn’t need this anymore since there is an existing package of 2,500 texts to all networks for P300.00 only. Way better than unlitexts. I am not much of a phone-call person at all, anyway. Just sharing my own experience :)

But the good thing about this, if it really will provide two sims (one for Smart and another for Globe), then this would be ideal for those who will want to share the other sim to a sibling, child, partner or another significant other.

  2. How would this be better than Globe’s Unlimited text to all networks for only P599? For just P50 more, you can text all 3 networks Smart, Globe and Sun (not to mention Talk N Text, Touch Mobile and Red)?

You don’t get a free phone with Globe since their Unlimited Text to all networks is only an add-on.

    • Signal. I wan’t be able to text all with my Globe in remote places or dense areas.

    • You will not have a free phone and the free 4hrs call to Sun subscribers and 2hrs of call to Smart users.
