LG Reveals L-Style Design, Will Unveil Optimus L3, L5 and L7 Phones at MWC

 

LG has revealed three new phones ahead of the 2012 Mobile World Congress to be held at the end of the month.  What LG has revealed, essentially, is a new design philosophy than the details of the handsets.  The new phones are part of what LG calls L-Style design identity using “timeless design with finer details”.

The three new phones to be unveiled at MWC are the Optimus L3, Optimus L5 and Optimus L7.  These are all Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phones using the L-Style design philosophy.  The L3 has a 3.2-inch display and will first launch inEuropein March.  The Optimus L5 with 4-inch display and Optimus L7 with 4.3-inch display will then be released during the first half of the year.

LG’s L-Style is said to comprise five aesthetic elements:  Modern Square Style for a comfortable grip, Floating Mass Technology for a slimmer look, Seamless Layout for a more intuitive arrangement of keys, Harmonized Design Contrast utilizing metallic accents and Sensuous Slim Shape that draws attention.

“Design is consistently the top or second most important factor for customers when choosing a mobile phone,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. “With smartphones, we sometimes took a more functional approach to design but with L-Style we’re going back to our roots as a company focused on how our products fit into the lifestyle of our customers.”

We’ll know the specs and feature so the Optimus L3, L5, and L7 handsets after they are unveiled at the MWC.
