Samsung Galaxy S II Plus Specs and Photos Leaked

With the release of the Samsung Galaxy S III, everyone would have thought that its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S II, will slowly fade into the sunset and be eventually forgotten.  Samsung appears to have a different plan for the Galaxy S II.  Samsung is apparently planning on releasing an upgraded Galaxy S II called the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus.  This is consistent with Samsung’s strategy of releasing slightly upgraded devices.

Alleged specs and photos of the rumored Galaxy S II Plus have surfaced and the renders look good.  The Galaxy S II Plus has ditched the physical home button and the bump in the back has been significantly reduced.  The Galaxy S II Plus will reportedly feature a 4.5-inch AMOLED display and will run on a dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos CPU paired with 1GB of RAM.  Built-in storage will be 16GB but expandable via microSD, and the handset will feature an 8-megapixel rear camera.  None of these specs are confirmed for now so they might still change by the time the handset is officially announced by Samsung.  If the Galaxy S II Plus is priced aggressively, we might see another hit from Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy S II Plus Specifications

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 4.5-inch AMOLED screen
  • 1.5GHz Dual-core Exynos CPU
  • 8 Megapixel
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 16GB storage
