Image and Specs of Rumored Motorola X Phone Leaked

Motorola is said to be working on an Android phone under the X branding and numerous stories about the upcoming device, or line of devices depending on who you ask, have been circulating the web.  You get alleged leaks here and there but like any other leaks, my take is not to believe anything to be true until the device is officially unveiled to the public.

In any case, the curious in us always wins, and it’s not bad to talk about rumors and leaks anyway, so let’s talk about the recent Motorola X Phone rumor.  An image of the alleged design of the Motorola Phone X has been doing the tech blog rounds and it’s but expected to share the image with you as well.  I highly doubt this is the final design of the Motorala Phone X, but here it is anyway.

The design is actually nice and I wouldn’t be surprised if this turns out to be the actual design for the Motorola Phone X.  I love the metallic silver finish and the almost edge-to-edge display.  Unfortunately, the photo does not indicate how thin the device will be but knowing Motorola, it will make the device as thin as possible.

For the hardware specs, sources say that the display will measure 4.7 inches and feature a 1280×720 resolution.  This is great but most new phones nowadays sport full HD 1080p display.  Maybe the actual product will also have a full HD display instead of the rumored 720p display.  Other rumored specs include a Snapdragon 800 processor, a 4000 mAh battery, a microSD card slot, Gorilla Glass 3 reinforcement and an IP57 certification.  An IP57 feature means that the Motorola Phone X will be water resistant, just like the Xperia Z.  The Motorola Phone X could run Android 5 Key Lime Pie but the render shows a version of Jelly Bean.  We will know soon I hope as the device is expected to be revealed at Google’s I/O event on May 15.

Motorola X Phone Rumored Specs

  • 4.7-inch display
  • 1280×720 resolution
  • Snapdragon 800 processor
  • 4000 mAh battery
  • microSD card slot
  • Gorilla Glass 3
  • IP57 certified

Let me caution you that the above specs are just rumors at this point.  Google and Motorala may indeed be working on a Phone X project but no official details have been revealed yet.
