BlackBerry Q10 Available in the Philippines on June 7, Priced at P31,990

BlackBerry Philippines just confirmed the availability of the new BlackBerry Q10 handset in the country.  The BlackBerry Q10 will be commercially available starting June 7 and if you’re interested in purchasing one, be prepared to shell out P31,990 for a prepaid variant.  That’s not cheap by any means and personally, I’m not so sure if the features and specs of the handset justify the hefty price tag.

The BlackBerry Q10, just like the Z10, is one of the top phones from BlackBerry and it’s the first QWERTY phone to run on the new BlackBerry 10 OS.  The launch of the BlackBerry Q10 is very important to the company since it makes use of the new OS and combines it with the QWERTY platform that made BlackBerry very popular.

Needless to say, one of the selling features of the BlackBerry Q10, apart from the OS, of course, is the re-engineered physical QWERTY keyboard.  This is ideal for people who still prefer the convenience of the physical keyboard over the virtual type.  According to BlackBerry, the QWERTY keyboard features a wider layout and larger keys.  That should please users who found the usual BlackBerry keyboard a bit cramped.

For the main hardware specs, the BlackBerry Q10 has a 3.1-inch AMOLED touch display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and LTE connectivity.  It has a large-capacity battery that should make this phone a favorite of those working in a corporate setting.

The BlackBerry Q10 is available in black and white.
