At the San Diego Comic-Con a big announcement was made. Zack Snyder, the director of Man of Steel starred in by Henry Cavill, announced that a movie featuring both Superman and Batman characters will be made and he is in fact directing the movie. This is something big, and something that makes us think we will be seeing a Justice League movie in the not so distant future.
The title of the movie will be, well, Superman and Batman. The story will be slightly based on The Dark Knight Returns and in fact, Snyder called in actor Harry Lennix who played a part in the Man of Steel movie to read the following line:
“I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come, in your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you.”
It was mentioned that Henry Cavill will reprise the role of Clark Kent/Superman and David S. Goyer, the screenwriter for Man of Steel will be writing the script for Superman and Batman. It’s not known at this point who will play the role of Batman and I doubt if Christian Bale will agree to play the role considering how good he did in Christopher Nolan’s Batman series.
Superman and Batman is actually a new source of debate since we all know how great Christopher Noan’s Batman movies are. If you are to base how the Superman and Batman movie will look like based on Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, I’m actually not that excited. Man of Steel was good but it’s not as great as what Nolan did in the Dark Knight series.
