Nokia Lumia 925 Lands in the Philippines, Gets P23,500 Price Tag

Windows Phone 8 is a really good OS.  The problem with the Windows Phone platform is that devices running the OS don’t push the limits when it comes to hardwares specs.  Compared to Android and iOS devices, Windows Phone devices are not cutting-edge.   Not that Windows Phone needed ultra fast hardware.  The OS is smooth even with mid-range phones.  But the reality is, buyers now look for the best specs, and in this respect, Android and iOS devices are the ones that stand out.

There is used to be no Windows Phone device that can be compared devices like the Samsung Galaxy S4 or the HTC One, or even the iPhone 5.  Nokia is changing this, one device at a time.  The first powerful smartphone that runs Windows Phone 8 has to be the Nokia Lumia 925.  Very recently, Nokia followed it up with the release of the Lumia 1020.

If you need to get a Windows Phone 8 device that combines great specs and sleek design, the Nokia Lumia 925 may be for you.  You need not wait long since the Nokia Lumia 925 is already in the Philippines, and it is officially priced at P23,500.  During the global launch the Nokia Lumia 925 got a 469 EUR price tag which converted to about P25,000.  It’s a good thing, therefore, that the official price in the Philippines is lower than that.

  1. The iPhone 5 has outdated specs. The Lumia 925 has better specs than it. The iPhone 5 is the only highend phone that does not even have 720p screen.

  2. It’s not the device manufacturer’s fault that the hardware specs aren’t up to par with competitor products. Windows Phone 8 just does not have support for more recent hardware components yet, like quadcore processors and full HD displays
