Huawei Ascend P1 Drops Price, Now Retails for Only P6,990

Huawei Philippines recently announced that it is dropping the retail price for the Ascend P1 Android smartphone.  Huawei calls it an early Christmas promotion but whatever the company wants to call it, it’s a price drop however way you want to see it.  If you’re on the lookout for a cheap Android phone with decent specs and made by a recognized brand, you may want to check out the Huawei Ascend P1.

The Huawei Ascend P1 is now priced at only P6,990.  At the time of launch, it was priced around P20,000, but that was around November of 2012. Considering the specs of the Huawei Ascend P1, the Php6,990 price is still a bargain.  The Ascend P1 is actually a good looking device that’s still slim and sexy by current standards.  It’s not as slim as the Huawei Ascend P6 but it’s still slimmer than most handsets. For hardware specs, the Ascend P1 features a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 processor and measures 7.69mm thin and 64.8 mm long. It has a 4.3-inch super AMOLED 960×540 touch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, an 8-megapixel BSI rear-facing camera and Dolby Mobile 3.0 + 5.1 surround sound technology.

The price drop for the Huawei Ascend P1 is only from August 29 to September 8, 2013.
