Apple’s MacBooks are arguably the best looking notebooks around. If you need something good looking that runs Windows OS, your choice is the Zenbook series from Asus. This Ultrabook is light and slim and it has a premium metallic finish that simply looks great.
ASUS recently announced two new Zenbooks – the Zenbook UX301 and Zenbook UX302. These new Ultrabooks still have a beautiful sleek design and has even been made more durable with a lid protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance. The Zenbook UX301 and Zenbook UX302 feature a metallic spun metal design first seen on the original Zenbook released in 2011.
The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer on the lid of the Zenbook UX301 and Zenbook UX302 is said to have the same durability and thinness as Gorilla Glass 2. The improvement is the use of NDR glass composition that provides superior scratch resistance, reduced scratch visibility and improved toughness.
Internal specs are quite good, matching the premium design of the Zenbook UX301 and Zenbook UX302. The Ultrabooks have a 13.3-inch IPS display with options for a 1920 x 1080 Full HD and 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution. The screen of the Zenbook UX301 and Zenbook UX302 are touch operated, offering 10-point multi-touch control ideal for Windows 8 OS.
The new Asus Zenbook is powered by 4th generation Intel Core processors. Variants of the Zenbook UX301 and Zenbook UX302 feature either Intel Iris graphics, or NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M graphics with Optimus technology.
The Zenbook UX301 features 802.11ac Wi-Fi for high-speed wireless data rates, and comprehensive connectivity options include USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0, while all models feature a backlit keyboard with automatic light level control and large multi-touch touchpads.
