Nexus 5 Specs and Features Leaked in Product Manual

The LG-made Nexus 5 has been leaked extensively it will be a big disappointment if Google does not announce the smartphone.  Photos of the Nexus 5 have been posted on tech blogs so we know more or less how the device looks.   The Nexus 5 inherits the design of the Nexus 7 (2013), especially the finish on the back cover.  The matte-looking material is a departure from the glass material used on the Nexus 4 which I personally prefer over the textured plastic finish on the Nexus 5.  In terms of thickness, though, the Nexus 5 appears to be thinner now.

We have seen photos of the Nexus 5 but just recently, the product manual for the Nexus 5 landed on the hands of Android Police, which means the public now knows everything about the device, including its specs.  The sketches of the phone match the photos leaked so far so what the manual does really is just reveal the hardware specs of the Nexus 5.

Based on the content of the Nexus 5 product manual, here are the main specs of Google’s upcoming phone:

Google Nexus 5 Specifications

  • 4.95-inch 1080p IPS display
  • 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB or 32GB internal storage
  • 8MP OIS rear camera
  • 1.3MP front camera
  • 2300mAh battery
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass, Proximity/Ambient Light, Pressure
  • Micro SIM slot
  • Notification light
  • Wireless charging
  • NFC
  • LTE
  • Android 4.4 KitKat

The hardware specs shown above makes the Nexus 5 a really attractive Android device considering that Nexus devices are known for being competitively priced.  The full HD display, the fast processor, the generous internal storage and the inclusion of LTE connectivity make the Nexus 5 as great as most current flagship handsets.

If the Nexus 5 is priced similarly as the Nexus 4 when it was launched, I might just get one for my personal use.

  1. parang Sony Xperia Z1 with less camera resolution, battery capacity, and waterproofing
I hope it sticks to Adreno 330 which is very likely since it uses the Snapdragon 800.

hmmm pressure sensor… “Squeeze to unlock” hahhahahah
