Cherry Mobile Flare HD Unveiled

One of the best-selling lines for Cherry Mobile is the Flare.  It has undergone a few updates in the past that’s why we have handsets like the Flare 2.0, Flare 2X and Flare S.  Now the Flare has a new brother in the form of the Flare HD.  It’s another Android-running budget phone from Cherry Mobile and if the specs set is any basis for the success of the Flare HD, it looks like Cherry Mobile has another hit in its hands.

As you might have already guessed from the handset’s name, the Cherry Mobile Flare HD has an HD display, with a resolution of 1280×720.  On a 4.3-inch screen, this resolution translates to 342ppi.  This is not full HD but it should be good enough for most users.  The rest of the main specs include a 1.2GHz MTK6589 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal memory with option for expansion, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, dual-SIM functionality and 1,800mAh battery.   Based on this set of specs, the battery is the only issue for me.  A 1,800mAh battery should be good enough but for those who are heavy users, this is simply not enough.   Considering the HD display and the quad-core processor, the battery could get drained quickly.

Here are the main specs of the Cherry Mobile Flare HD.
