Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2X and Omega XL Specs and Price Unveiled

Cherry Mobile recently unveiled two new handsets that carry the Omega name.   The naming system has grown exceedingly confusing recently as Cherry Mobile loosely uses the 2.0, 2X and XL suffixes in identifying its products.  The sheer number of devices coming from local company already has people overwhelmed and the naming scheme is not helping ease things.

In any case, there have been a couple of Omega products in the past and now, there are two new ones under this line.  The new phones are the Omega HD 2X and the Omega XL.  From the names alone, you will get that one has an HD display and the other one has an oversized display.   The specs and features of these phones are actually consistent with their names.

Of the two, the Omega HD 2X is the better phone overall.   It has a 5.7-inch IPS display with 1080p resolution, 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 18MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.  The Omega XL, on the other hand, packs a bigger 6-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB internal memory.  The Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2X is naturally the more expensive one as it is priced at P12,399 while the Cherry Mobile Omega XL is priced at P7,999.
