Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey: 8-inch Display, 3G, P7,499 Price

The Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey is the new tablet in the local brand’s Android line-up.   The Superion Odyssey features a 7.85-inch display and a SIM card slot, making it possible for users to use this as a phone and go online using 3G cellular data.   Powering the Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.   This setup should be enough for the tablet to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smoothly.

On the storage side, the Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey offers 8GB of built-in storage with microSD slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.   The Superion Odyssey also packs a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.  The tablet even has an HDMI port in case you want to connect it with a compatible display.

The Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey looks great .  It reminds me of the iPad mini since it also has the same size and the same slim side bezels.  It also looks sufficiently thin and has the same curved back.  The Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey is not cheap though.  It is priced at Php7,499, but at least you get 3G connectivity, good design and an HDMI port.  But if you really need 3G connectivity at this size, you can get the SKK Mobile SK8 which is currently priced at only Php4,999.

Here are the main specifications of the Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey.
