Filmmaker Casey Neistat received a budget intended for a project to promote the movie but instead, he asked 20th Century Fox, the studio behind The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, to instead use the budget to help Yolanda /Haiyan victims in the Philippines.  The studio agreed and the budget was able to provide 10,000 meals, tools to 35 villages and basic medicine to local organizations.  Here is the video from Casey Neistat documenting his relief efforts in the Philippines.

Some people think that this video was made to drum up interest for the movie.  It appears to be working as the video is slowly gaining attention and nearing viral status.  Whatever the true reason, we Filipinos are simply glad that someone provided help to the Yolanda/Haiyan victims.
