Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo Announced

Samsung just recently announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, a once-rumored variant of the Note 3. Compared to the current flagship, the Neo is a bit shorter and lighter. It has a smaller screen (5.5 inches vs. 5.7 inches) with a 720P resolution. It also has the same battery capacity and design aesthetics, along with the fake leather plastic back.

The LTE version has a hexa-core processor (dual core 1.7GHz processor for intensive tasks and a four core 1.3GHz processor for regular tasks), while the non-LTE variant will have a quad-core 1.6GHz processor. The rest of the specs for both variants include a 5.5 inch 720p Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 3,100 mAh battery, an 8MP camera  and a front facing 2MP. It will also have the S-Pen, along with Samsung’s slew of features included in Touchwiz. The phone will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is compatible with Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smart watch.

There is no official price yet, but Sammobile suggests a price of 579 euro in some European nations. If released locally, that could translate to around P35,000+ range. Sounds a bit expensive, but as most Samsung phones go, the price won’t stay that high for long.
