Mozilla Previews Firefox Launcher

It looks like Mozilla (with EverythingMe) will be coming out with their own launcher for Android. I guess the bigger players wants to be your launcher and funnel you towards their own app ecosystems — players like Facebook with its Facebook Home (albeit limited to a few phones), Yahoo with Aviate (a smart launcher which I posted about), and even GoLauncher (one of the more famous launchers in Google Play) with its own ecosystem of Go apps.

So what makes this different? According to Mozilla:

Firefox Launcher for Android makes it easy to discover the content you want in any moment and is optimized for the way you use your phone. The app integrates the contextual adaptive app search from EverythingMe with the Firefox for Android Web browser to offer users a personalized and customizable Web experience that is fun and intuitive.

Powered by EverythingMe, the launcher has a search bar, smart folders in the middle and the prediction bar at the top of the dock. The search bar will look for relevant stuff for you (ala Google Search) either in-phone or on the web. The smart folders automatically organizes your apps according to your interests. And finally, the prediction bar will try to anticipate what you’ll need throughout the day. There is no word yet on when it will be available in Google Play.

So,what do you guys think of these “smart” launchers with their adaptive and contextual prowess? If it does become available here, would you use it?
