HTC Wearable Gadgets (Yes There is More than One)

HTC is reportedly planning to demo three wearable devices at next week’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona: two smartwatches and a bracelet. I’m assuming HTC’s focus on wearable devices will be one of their ways to try slowing down the sliding profits and decreasing market share.

One of the wearable devices will be a smartwatch based on Qualcomm’s Toq smartwatch, probably featuring the company’s Mirasol display (which allows increased visibility in bright sunlight and saves battery life). The other devices reportedly include a Google Now smartwatch, and an electronic bracelet that plays music. No other information is available about the devices.

HTC has not announced plans for its smartwatches and according to Bloomberg, the wearable devices it will be showing to cellular operators at MWC next week will not be available for public display (boo!).
