Google has just announced their platform for wearables, starting with smartwatches. The search giant has released a video on their blog on how it would work.
Dubbed Android Wear, it is essentially a way to extend Android to a new category of devices, beginning with watches. It will bring aspects of Google Now, including voice control (Ok, Google) and some notifications, in a design element taken from the Cards UI they currently use. As seen on the video, Android Wear will give you information when you need it.
I don’t know about you guys, but I am liking where this is going. If it does come out as advertised, then this could be the smartwatch to get.
So, what do you think? Is this the smartwatch for you?
