Review: EAccess MHL Adapter

mhl-adapter-1

For those looking for an affordable MHL adapter, I was able to find and buy one in Accent Micro for only P230. The brand is EAccess, and, like most things, its made in China.

For those who don’t know, MHL stands for Mobile High-Definition Link and it allows your MHL enabled smartphone or tablet to mirror HD content to TVs or monitors. Basically, the adapter connects your device to an HDMI cable, which is then connected to your TV.

I’ve had it for a few weeks now and so far, the adapter is still working. There were no issues, and the first time I used it, it worked as soon as I connected it to my phone and the TV. I was able to play a few games and watched some videos in YouTube, using my phone as a game and media controller. One caveat though is that unlike other, more expensive MHL adapters,  this one  will not work without a power source. But it does charge your device while in use.

The unit has a limited warranty of a few days. And I was told that they don’t always have it in stock. On the box, it said it supports most MHL capable devices. But be sure to bring your phone or tablet to try it out before buying one.

    • Hindi ako sure. Pero nakasulat sa box pwede. Pero minsan picky kasi Samsung. Best to bring your device with you and test first before buying just in case.

    • You can try Accent Micro branches. It’s only P230. Make sure your device supports MHL before buying, and don’t forget to bring it for testing.
