Nexus 9 specs leaked

News of HTC made Nexus 9 has once again resurfaced, but this time, with more information on specs in tow. According to Android Police, the new Nexus tablet will have  an 8.9 inch screen and a 64 bit Nvidia chip set. Although there is an image that came with the specs, the site is at odds with what the actual device might look like. They stand by the specs (noting the reliability of their source), but mentioned that it doesn’t quite match the device image. For one, the ratio of the screen looks to be 4:3, but the 2048×1440 resolution is said to be 16:9. Another are the front facing speakers, which are conspicuously missing from the render. This leads them to believe that the pictured unit might be earlier renders of the Nexus tablet.

In my opinion, the image looks like a cross between an iPad Mini and a 2nd gen Nexus 7. Either way, the specs are impressive. Again, since nothing is confirmed, let’s take this bit of news with a grain of salt.

Nexus 9 Key Specs:

  • 8.9″ Display at 2048×1440 (281ppi)
  • NVIDIA Logan 64-bit processor (Tegra K1)
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16/32GB internal storage
  • 8MP OIS main camera
  • 3MP front facing camera
  • Aluminum zero-gap construction
  • Stereo front-facing speakers
