Samsung unveils Galaxy Note 4. Octa core, QHD powerhouse.

Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Note 4. The phablet’s screen size remains at 5.7 inches, but touts a QHD Super AMOLED display with an eye popping resolution of 2560 x 1440 and 515ppi. Now that’s a lot of pixels!

The Super AMOLED display is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3. The 2.5D glass has curved sides to make swiping from the edge smoother.

The Note 4 comes in two variants: an octa core Exynos version and a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 version. It also has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The stacked phablet runs TouchWiz UI based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Other notable features include an improved S-pen stylus, a 16MP main camera and a 3.7MP front camera with an aperture of f1.9. It has a metal frame and a faux leather back.

This beastly phablet may have its work cut out for it.  The advent of affordable Chinese imports (like the Mi3 and the LTE capable Mi4), and Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6 surely will affect how well this will sell. Good thing the brand is still popular. Are you guys interested?
