Motorola returns to China via Lenovo with the Moto G, Moto X and Moto X Pro

With the completion of Lenovo’s acquisition of Motorola, the Taiwanese tech giant is finally moving forward with the brand. Lenovo is bringing Motorola to China by launching three phones to the market.

The brand’s return to China will be headed by the new Moto G LTE, the new Moto X and the Moto X Pro. All three phones are expected to go on sale in early 2015. Aside from the phones, the Moto Maker design tool will also be available after the Spring Festival. The tool will enable fans to design their own Moto X.

This won’t be an easy battle for Lenovo/Motorola. Strong Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, etc. may already have a stranglehold on Chinese consumers interest. That’s not even counting the strong presence of both Apple and Samsung in the country.

This bit of news is making me hopeful that Lenovo might officially bring the Moto G, Moto X and Moto X Pro to our shores. Hopefully this is the start of the devices’ progress into other regions of Asia. Besides, those are great phones that have excellent specs and build quality. It runs stock Android with promises of early updates and it’s competitively priced.
