Each band can also operate as a separate Wi-Fi network, giving you the ability to customize your network according to your connectivity needs. This way, you can configure a connection to allow guests to access the internet without them accessing the rest of your network.
Access Your Files Anytime, Anywhere
With the mydlink SharePort app, you can connect a USB storage device to the router to locally or remotely access or share your files. Setting up only requires four steps:
- Plug the storage device into the USB port located at the back of the DIR-816L
- Install the mydlink SharePort app from the Apple app store or Google Play and launch it
- Log-in locally if you are at home, or remotely if you are outside
- Select the DIR-816L listed as a potential connection
