Xiaomi launches the Mi Pad in the Philippines

Great news everyone! Mi Philippines recently announced that the Mi Pad will soon be available in the country. The 8 inch tablet will go on sale starting May 4, 2015, Monday. Best of all, its only P10,999.

So what do you get for P10,999? The Mi Pad is powered by a 2.2GHz quad core NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, and uses the same Kepler GPU architecture used in next-gen PC gaming.  It is 1.5 times more energy efficient than other mobile GPUs and fully supports OpenGL 4.4, OpenGL ES 3.1 and tessellation. The MIUI powered tablet has 2GB of RAM for improved multitasking, and a spacious 16GB of storage for your files and games.

The 7.9 inch full HD display has a resolution of  2048 x 1536 with a respectable 326 ppi. Another notable feature is the 4:3 aspect ratio, which is ideal for browsing the web, playing games, watching videos and reading e-books. Completing the spec list is the 8MP BSI main camera with a large aperture of f/2.0, and a 5MP front camera.
