Smart announces new postpaid plans; Increased mobile data allocation

Smart Communications introduces their new lineup of postpaid plans. The new plans offer more mobile data provisions and more options.

Smart Postpaid Plans

“When it comes to mobile data needs, there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution. There are those who simply want to casually browse their social media feeds, while there are others who are big fans of music and video streaming on their devices. This is why we have designed our new postpaid plans to give subscribers the power to choose the best postpaid plan that’s perfect for whatever data appetite they have,” said Kathryn Carag, Postpaid Marketing Head at Smart.

Surf Plus Plans

Surf Plus Plan gives you more options that best fit your online consumption needs. The plan gives you bigger mobile data allowances PLUS (the twist I mentioned earlier) you get to choose a FREE app you can use that will not be counted against your monthly data allowance (or until you reach the allocated data volume per app).

For the free app, you can select from one of the choices below that best suit your online habits:

  • YouTube access or SPINNR music streaming
  • Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook access
  • LINE, Viber, Whatsapp, or Facebook Messenger
  • Gmail and Yahoo! Mail access
  • Waze navigation

And here are the plan details. It’s pretty good if you ask me, especially the Plan 799. All Surf Plus Plans also come with free calls and texts every month plus one-month of free Gadget Shield upon subscription.

All-In Plans

A personal favorite of mine, the Smart All-In Plan is fully consumable and let’s you choose the what services you need. You can choose from text, talk, and mobile data flexibundles that you can subscribe to, allowing you more control on your usage based on your budget and lifestyle.

Basically, you choose from a list of services and allocate it to your consumable plan. Choose from Plan 500, 800, 1200, 1800 and 2500. Check out the list of keywords here (http://smart.com.ph/Postpaid/plans/all-in-plan/sms-keywords).

I usually go with the TriNet 400 (500 minutes of calls to SMART, Sun, Talk ‘N Text and PLDT Landline, 2000 texts to all networks, 150MB worth of mobile surfing; 30 days) and BIG BYTES 299 (1.7GB data, 1GB Music Streaming from Spinnr, 100MB Youtube/Skype Qik; 30 days). With the remaining allocation consumed normally.
