Apple will bring Apple Music to Android

Apple recently announced Apple Music — their newest music streaming service. What’s surprising is the app will also become available to Android as well. It looks like the lure of millions of Android users is hard to ignore.

The big announcement was made during Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco. Their latest offering directly competes with Spotify, Deezer and other music streaming services. In Apple Music, users will have access to over 30 million songs from Apple’s music catalogue, as well as purchased digital music and ripped CDs (does anybody still use CDs though).

At launch, the service will offer iOS users with two options: Free with limited functionality, and subscription based for USD9.99 per month. The free option lets users listen to Beats 1 radio station, and other Apple Music radio stations. On Android, users  will have to be paid Apple Music subscribers to enjoy the service.
