Sun Cellular offers best value-for-money Plan 450

When Sun Cellular debuted back in 2004, a lot of my friends started shifting allegiances to the telco because of their value-for-money postpaid and prepaid offers. I remember Sun quickly gaining ground, as it slowly chipped away at the competitor’s subscriber base, especially in postpaid. Fast forward to 2015, the telco is still at it offering even more value-for-money as they introduce Sun Plan 450.

How good is it? Well, we compared the Sun Plan 450 with the other network’s Plan 499  and was surprised at the difference. Both offer unlimited calls and text within its respective networks, but as we look further down the chart below (tabled for easy reference), we quickly realized that the affordable Sun Plan has more value.

Let’s start with the monthly service fee and go forward from there.

Sun is cheaper at Php450 a month. Yup, that’s a Php49 a month difference. You might think nothing of it, but believe me, it quickly adds up. And then there’s the unlimited Sun-to-Sun calls and text. That one is a staple, but there’s an added bonus — you also get 250 free text messages you can use for other networks AND 20 hours of mobile data for any online activity (you can use it to browse the web or fiddle through an online app, doesn’t matter). Again, the difference adds up, especially at the end of your billing period (how much does 250 SMS and 20 hours of mobile data cost?). And finally, there’s that free Android phone that comes with the plan. I mean, who doesn’t want a free phone?

At the end of day, practicality wins. It’s a no brainer. Value-for-money is Sun. And Sun is simply the better choice.

Did I mention you get a free Android phone?
