PLDT HOME and Smart partners with Fox International

PLDT HOME and Smart Communications announced yesterday that they have inked a partnership with Fox International Channels. The move aims to bolster the telcos’ entertainment offerings, making Fox channels easily accessible to their subscribers.

PLDT HOME subscribers will be given access to Fox videos-on-demand (VOD) content for an additional PHP99 per month. It includes additional live Fox channels like Fox Sports, National Geographic, Nat Geo People, Nat Geo Wild, Fox News, Channel M and Star Chinese Channel. These are free for Fibr subscribers and PLDT HOME subs who have upgraded to a TVolution or Telpad plan. Triple Play subscribers will also get free access to Fox VOD and catch-up TV channels Fox Play, Fox Movies and Fox Sports.

Smart subscribers can get Fox channels as part of the Smart Life Entertainment Everywhere bundles that start from as low as PHP50 for three days, or as an add-on option of PHP99 per month charged to their prepaid loads or postpaid accounts.

The event was held at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City, and was attended by member of the media, the blogging community and various artists and celebrities. The crowd was entertained by poi dancers, roaming zombies (inspired by The Walking Dead) and prancing (?) elven folk (from the Lord of the Rings).
