ASUS Philippines launches the New ZenPad Tablets

ASUS Philippines recently launched the ZenPad, the company’s new line of tablets at the Buddha Bar in Makati.  The devices come in three new flavors, and feature affordable prices and new innovative interchangeable back covers.

Personally, I have stopped using tablets, but ASUS’ new offerings is slowly bringing me back. The new ZenPad not only looks great, but also boasts several of the company’s top tech innovations like the VisualMaster and PixelMaster, as well as the latest Intel Atom X3 processors.

ZenPad S 8.0 (Z3580CA)

ZenPad S 8.0 is ASUS’ premium offering, featuring a gorgeous new design along with great performance. Priced at PHP16,995, the 8 inch tablet sports a 2k QXGA IPS display with a 2048 x 1536 resolution and a 324 ppi,. It has a wide 178-degree viewing angle and a 4:3 screen ratio of 4:3 (which I think is perfect for an 8 inch device).

The ZenPad S 8.0 is only 6.6mm thin and weighs in at only 298g. Design wise, it features clean lines, a metallic finish and diamond-cut edges. In terms of specs, the ZenPad S 8.0 is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor and is the world’s first 8-inch tablet with 4GB of RAM. It has 64GB of storage (expandable of course), an 8MP main camera, dual front facing stereo speakers, a 4,000 mAh battery, and last but not the least, a USB 3 Type C connector.

ZenPad 7.0 (Z370CG)

ASUS ZenPad 7.0 is a 7-inch tablet with a smaller body than most 7 inch tablets. It has small bezels giving it only a 72% screen-to-body ratio. The design has the same clean look and premium appeal of its 8 inch brother, and it also boasts impressive performance brought by the Intel Atom processor.

ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170CG)

And last but not the least, the ZenPad C 7.0 is the company’s entry level offering. The tablet has similar design elements present in the ZenPad series. It features a host of entertainment features and good performance for an all-around value tablet.

ZenPad Accessories

The ZenPad line of tablets come with new innovative accessories. One of the more interesting is the ASUS Audio Cover. It features 6 speakers including 1 subwoofer with up to 6 hours of power. It promises to deliver immersive 5.1 channel surround sound.

Other cases include different colored back cases, the Power Case (which adds up to 15 hours of additional power), and the stylish Zen Clutch (which turns your tablet into a leather covered clutch bag).

 

Availability

The ASUS Zenpad 8.0, ZenPad 7.0 and ZenPad C 7.0 are now available at stores nationwide. SRP are as follows: PHP 16,995, PHP 7,995, and PHP 5,995 respectively.
