Held at the Romulo Cafe in Makati, Lenovo executives were keen on showing us their newest and most affordable phablet. While the looks hasn’t changed and it still has the Dolby Atmos tech, the A7000 Plus features modest upgrades with significant impact on user experience.

First, it has a better display. It has the same size at 5.5 inches, but has better resolution at 1080p. The processor also received a boost, clocked slightly faster at 1.7 GHz, along with the RAM (now 2GB), storage (at 16GB) and camera (13MP).

Lenovo A7000 Plus key specs:

  • 5.5 inch full HD display (1920 x 1080)
  • 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 16 GB storage (+microSD slot up to 32GB)
  • 13 MP main camera
  • 5 MP front camera
  • LTE, WCDMA, GSM
  • Dual SIM (micro SIM)
  • Wi-Fi b/g/n, BT 4.0, GPS, AGPS
  • OTG support
  • Dolby Atmos tech
  • 2,900 mAh Li-Ion battery
  • Color: Black

Price and Availability

What’s even more surprising is that the upgrades didn’t affect the price tag too much. The A7000 Plus has an SRP of only PHP7,999. It can be purchased directly through Lazada starting September 15, 2015 at 12PM. It will come bundled with a free screen protector worth PHP299, and a free back cover worth PHP599.
