Aside from the ZenFone 3 and the Deluxe flagship, ASUS also announced its best value-for-money smartphones in the ASUS ZenFone 3 Max and the ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser.
ASUS ZenFone 3 Max
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Max is a follow up from last year’s amazing ZenFone Max (you can check out our review here). It was one of my favourites (I still use it) because of its large battery. This year’s model has a smaller 4,130 mAh battery, a smaller 5.2-inch display, an attractive design and better internals. Under the hood is an efficient 64-bit 1.25GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and a Mali T720 graphics chip. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and uses on-screen keys for home, back and multitasking rather than capacitive ones.

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Max comes in Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver and Sand Gold. It will have an SRP of P8,995 and will be available on September 2016.

ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser
The follow up on last year’s ZenFone Laser also received significant upgrades. The ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser features a metallic and glass build, with a 2.5D contoured glass panel. The display measures 5.5-inches and has a full HD resolution. Under the hood you’ll find a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 505 graphics chip. The 13MP PixelMaster camera uses a Sony IMX214 sensor, aided by f/2.0 aperture and a 2nd gen laser autofocus.
