When the Moto Z and the Moto Z Play were launched in the Philippines, I was intrigued by its (apparently) successful take on modular phones. Moto introduced us to the Moto Mods, a set of accessories designed to make our smartphone experience

For those not familiar, how this works is that the mods stick to the back of the Moto Z and Moto Z Play via strong magnets, integrating seamlessly with the phones and directly adding different functionalities.

Here are the Moto Mods

The Moto Style Shell brings a new look to your phone with its premium-designed back shells. It is available in real wood, leather, ballistic nylon and patterned fabric.

The Incipio offGRID power pack is essentially a Moto Mod powerbank designed to give an additional 22 hours of use. It has fast charging via TurboPower, and adds minimal bulk.

The JBL Soundboost Speaker Mod is a modular boombox. It has an integrated kickstand, and a battery that last up to 10 hours.

The Moto Insta-Share Projector turns your Moto Z into a cinema. You can project movies, videos or pictures to up to 70-inches bog on any flat surface. Whats more, it gives an additional 1 hour of battery.

The Hasselbald True Zoom gives shutterbugs a leg up on their mobile photography game. It has its own 12MP sensor, 10 times optical zoom, an optical and electronic image stabilization, and the ability to shoot in RAW.

The Moto Z and the Moto Z Play retails for Php33,999 and Php22,999 respectively. The Moto Mods are available at select MemoXpress and Silicon Valley outlets (SM North EDSA, SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia).
