DICT leads PH delegation for CommunicAsia2017

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will be leading the Philippine delegation at the upcoming CommunicAsia2017 in Singapore.

DICT will set up the Philippine Pavilion exhibit at the CommunicAsia2017 to showcase the best of what our country has to offer. It will house ten Philippine companies, from startups to large corporations, that belong to different industries such as information technology and business process management (IT-BPM), telecommunications, financial, and transportation. In addition, the DICT will also host a half-day seminar entitled “Philippines Connect.” The seminar, which will happen on May 24 from 2:00PM to 4:30PM at Level Four, Marina Bay Sands, is aimed at addressing the upcoming changes and opportunities in the Philippine ICT industry.

CommunicAsia2017 is the largest ICT event in Asia. It will be held in the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from May 23 to 25, 2017. Philippine start-ups Taxumo and FAME Aviation App that will be there to feature their latest innovations. Other delegates from the Philippines include Advanced World Systems, Alliance Software, Inc., Exist Software Labs, Inc., PLDT Enterprise, Red Core Solutions, Sutherland Global Services, THINKBIT Solutions and Xurpas Enterprise, Inc.

The creation of the DICT in June 2016 reinforces the Philippine government’s goal of improving the ICT sector in the country.
