Samsung set to release Galaxy Note7R

Here’s a silver lining in Samsung’s Note7 saga. The company will be selling a refurbished version within the year.

Samsung Galaxy Note7R for Refurbished

Yep, I want one. Because the Note7 was such a great device.

Samsung confirmed awhile back that a refurbished version of the Galaxy Note7 will be back later this year. Dubbed the Galaxy Note7R, the “R” presumably for refurbished, is said to have the same specs except for a smaller, better battery. Although no release date or price has been revealed, its assumed to be cheaper with availability in select countries only.

According to the source, the Galaxy Note7R (model number Samsung SM-N935F) will feature a smaller 3,200 mAh battery and will run Android 7.1.1. If you recall, the original Note7 launched with a 3,500 mAh battery and Android 6.0.1.

While the release date is not yet set, it was revealed that the Note7R will first be available in China and South Korea. Hopefully it gets released elsewhere, particularly in the Philippines.

Question is though — despite everything that has happened with Samsung, would you want one? Because I do.
