LG V30 Specs

LG’s latest flagship, the V30, was recently launched at the IFA 2017. The handset comes with high-powered specs, ready to go toe to toe against Samsung’s heavy hitter, the Galaxy Note 8.

LG V30

The LG V30 features a 6-inch 18:9 quad HD P-OLED FullVision display with a resolution of 2880 by 1440 and a pixel density of 537 ppi. Unlike its predecessor, this model does not have a secondary display. Inside, the flagship is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 paired with 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 540. It comes with two storage options, 64GB for the V30, and 128GB for the V30+.

Following in the footsteps of the LG V20, the V30 packs some serious photography hardware. It’s dual rear camera system boasts a 16MP + 13MP setup, both equipped with OIS. The former has a f1.6 lens and a 71-degree view, while the latter comes with f1.9 lens and a wide angle 120-degree view. The front camera uses a 5MP sensor with a f2.2 lens.

The phone boasts a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, powered by an ESS Sabre ES9218P digital to analog converter. It also includes B&O PLAY earphones, and an improved microphone system geared towards recording videos.

As for the rest of the specs, the V30 has IP68 dust and water resistance, a 3.5mm audio jack, a fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C, and the latest LG UX 6.0+ on top of Android Nougat.

Price and Availability

The LG V30 will first come to South Korea starting September 21, 2017, with the US, Asia, and the rest of the world following after that.

No price has been set at the time of writing, but there are rumors that it will be around USD720. If that is true, then it will probably cost around Php37,000 to Php38,000 when it hits the Philippine market.
