Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Announced with 6-inch Bezel-less Display

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is official. The phone features a 6-inch bezel-less display, a Snapdragon 835 SOC, and 8GB RAM.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is out and it comes with a fantastic design and top-of-the-line specs. The phone features a 5.99-inch 18:9 full HD+ full screen display with zero bezels. The front glass is curved on all sides. Compared to its predecessor, it has a smaller chin with a 12-percent size reduction of the bottom bezel.

Inside, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with 6GB or 8GB RAM. The 6GB RAM is paired with an option of 64GB, 128GB or 256GB storage. The Special Edition 8GB RAM variant comes with 128GB of storage and a ceramic body.

The Mi MIX 2 has a single 12MP camera at the back. It is powered by a Sony IMX386 sensor with a 4-axis OIS and an 5-piece f2.0 lens. The front camera uses a 5MP sensor.

Interestingly, the Mi MIX 2 has a hidden sound guided speaker and an ultrasonic proximity sensor. The speaker uses an acoustic technology that resonates the speaker through the metal frame. The sound is then delivered through the display.

The Mi MIX 2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. It also has a 3,400 mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is priced at RMB3,299 (roughly Php25,700+) for the 6GB/64GB, RMB3,599 (Php28,000+) for the 6GB/128GB, and RMB3,999 (Php31,200+) for the 6GB/256GB. The Special Edition 8GB/128GB with the ceramic is priced at RMB4,699 (Php37,000).
