After various leaks, the Huawei Nova 2i recently became official. Unveiled in Malaysia, the device boasts 4 cameras – two up front and 2 at the back – and a large 5.9-inch full HD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Camera
The Nova 2i features dual camera setup that allows for blurred backgrounds also called bokeh. It also lets users re-adjust the focus right after the shot was taken.
The rear camera uses a combination of 16MP and a secondary 2MP sensor. It comes with autofocus and an LED flash. The front facing camera uses a 13MP and a 2MP shooter, allowing the user to create impressive portraits with blurred backgrounds. It also comes with an LED flash.
Display
The Nova 2i joins the current crop of smartphones flaunting an 18:9 aspect ratio. The 5.9-inch IPS display has a full HD resolution with a 407ppi pixel density, and an 81.7% screen-to-body ratio. Huawei dubbed it FullView because of its small bezels at the top and bottom, and even smaller ones on the sides. For added protection, the phone ships with a pre-installed screen protector.

An octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 powers the Nova 2i. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The phone comes with a back mounted fingerprint sensor, an audio jack and a microUSB port. It is backed by a non-removable 3,340 mAh battery.
Price
The Nova 2i will come in Aurora Blue, Prestige Gold, and Graphite Black. It has a retail price of RM1,299 when converted is roughly Php16,000.
