The answer, according to iPrice Group, is yes. As it turns out, the iPhone 6 is still a popular phone in the Philippines.
An iPhone is still an iPhone
Kuala Lumpur-based online shopping aggregator iPrice Group found out that most Filipinos are still into the three year old iPhone 6. Data gathered by the company revealed that in 11 out of 14 regions in the country, the iOS device and its price had a consistently high search volume. This could mean interest on the iPhone 6 was higher than that of the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X (10 not “X”).
The results are not that much of a surprise. iPhones have always been considered as aspirational products, especially in the Philippines. Many dream of owning one. And the iPhone 6 maybe the best and most affordable option to achieve that goal.

Why the iPhone 6? Despite its age, its still a very capable device. The handset features a 4.7-inch IPS Retina display, a premium build, 16/32/64/128 GB storage options, a fingerprint scanner, and an audio jack. It can play music well enough, and its cases and accessories are still available on the cheap.
Not only that, its also a capable photography tool. The 8MP rear camera is more than enough for most uses (especially if you’re just into social media). And the 1.2MP front camera can still get the job done.
