Vivo X20 UD sporting an in-display fingerprint scanner was spotted at TENAA. It looks like we’ll be seeing the phone sooner rather than later.
Vivo X20 UD at TENAA
The Vivo X20 UD with in-display fingerprint scanner was recently spotted at TENAA. And it looks like they are wasting no time in getting it out on the market. If you recall, Vivo, along with partner Synaptics, showcased a ready-to-produce smartphone with a working in-display fingerprint scanner at the CES 2018.
According to the source, the Vivo X20 UD will come with a 6.43-inch full HD+ OLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be using an OLED panel because the Synaptics tech relies on that type of display for the fingerprint scanner to work. The scanner underneath actually peeks between the pixels to identify the fingerprint.
The rest of the specs will includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, dual 12MP (F1.8) + 5MP rear camera, 12MP (F2.0) selfie camera, and a 3,800 mAh battery. The phone is listed to run on Android 7.1.1.
