The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) gathers the country’s leading start-ups for ConnecTechAsia 2018.
Philippine Delegation
The DICT has gathered the country’s most promising tech start-up companies and brought them to ConnecTechAsia 2018, the region’s biggest mega technology event. The event is from June 26 to 28, 2018, and hosts over 1,700 companies from the telecoms, media and technology sectors of 52 countries and regions.
The Philippine delegation is represented by 10 local companies that include 7 start-ups, allowing them to showcase their latest technology offerings and solutions.
Participating Philippine companies include Advance World Solutions, Magellan Solutions, Titanium Technologies, as well as start-ups like Kollab Guru Group Inc., HYBrain, MediaAid, MobileOptima Inc., Payruler, Rumarocket Limited Incorporated, and Snapcart. They will be showcasing local innovations in software development, platform adoption, digital marketing, talent sourcing, data acquisition and analytics, and more.
“The Philippine government recognizes the impact of new and emerging technologies in today’s business models and in the way companies operate and communicate with customers. We are excited to bring forth the Philippine delegation to ConnecTechAsia 2018, which will allow them to showcase local innovations that highlight the country’s efforts to move towards becoming a world-class digital economy in the future,” said Monchito Ibrahim, DICT Undersecretary.
Rumarocket Limited Incorporated
Among the start-ups that was showcased, Rumarocket Limited Incorporated was one of the more interesting. The company is headed by a young CEO named Kathleen Yu. They build custom machine learning and artificial intelligence tools that help their clients make sense of data that they already have, allowing them to quantify, understand and gain different perspectives on their talent situation that allows them to make informed decisions.
