PayMaya now accepts Western Union remittances

PayMaya, Western Union partnership allows users to accept domestic and international Western Union remittances.

PayMaya accounts can now directly receive Western Union domestic and international remittances. The initiative allows Western Union money transfers to PayMaya accounts on mobile phones for quick, easy, and more convenient transaction.

To direct Western Union money transfers to PayMaya wallets, users have to input their unique Western Union tracking number (MTCN) given to the receiver. Money can then be received within a few minutes. PayMaya account holders can receive up to USD500 (or PHP25,000) per transaction, or up to USD1,500 (or PHP75,000) per day, or up to a maximum PayMaya wallet capacity of USD2,000 (or PHP100,000) per month. A real-time SMS notification is sent once the funds are credited to their accounts.

Once received, the funds can be used as you would any PayMaya wallet funds. It can be used to pay bills, buy discounted prepaid mobile load (available to all networks), pay for online purchases via virtual card, or pay for items in-store through PayMaya QR.

PayMaya is free for download on both Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
