LG recently announced its first Android One smartphone, the LG G7 One. The device features yesteryear’s flagship specs, powered by Android One.

The handset features a 6.1-inch quad HD+ Super Bright display with notch, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, and a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery.

As for the cameras, the phone has a single 16MP sensor with an f/1.6 aperture lens at the back, and an 8MP selfie shooter with an f/1.6 lens at the front.

The handset is powered by Android Go, a stripped down version of Android designed to run on entry-level phones. But with the Snapdragon 835 though, it has the potential to become a powerful stock Android driver.

The phone also comes with the Boombox Speaker which debuted on the LG G7 thinQ, IP68 rating, and a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC.

While no specific price was mentioned, LG did say that they will offer the phone at an “exceptional price.” I am curious as how this will turn out for the company, seeing as we have a Snapdragon 845 device in the market at a pretty exceptional price.

Aside from the G7 One, LG also announced the G7 Fit. The handset will also come with processor from a few years ago, the Snapdragon 821. It will presumably cost even less, and will run on LG’s Ui on top of Android Oreo.

The phones are scheduled to debut on IFA 2018 in Berlin.
