Smart Wi-Fi rolls out in over 100 schools areas

Smart Communications successfully rolls out Smart Wifi to over 100 school areas nationwide.

Smart Communications is a member of the World Broadband Alliance (WBA), and is committed to provide people with Internet connectivity.

“As we continue to lead the country’s transformation into a smart nation, we at PLDT believe in equipping the youth with the means to enrich their knowledge and help them excel in any field they choose to pursue,” says Jovy Hernandez, SVP and Head of PLDT and Smart Enterprise Business Groups.

Several universities already have access to Smart Wifi’s fast Internet speeds. These include the University of the Philippines – Diliman, the De La Salle University – Manila, Pamantasan ng Lunsod ng Maynila, Pamantasan ng Lunson ng Muntinlupa, Emilio Aguinaldo College, Adamson University, Navotas Polytechnic College, and San Sebastian College.

The service also extends to other universities outside of the metro. Ateneo de Naga, University of Cebu, University of Mindanao, University of Bohol, Tarlac Agricultural University, and Letran Calamba, among others, now have access as well.

Smart also announced the availability of Smart Wifi Ads. The medium allows brands to reach the younger market, particularly the students. Basically, those who connect to Smart Wifi will be shown banner or interstitial ads in exchange for additional connection time.
